Object of the day

Hello, friends of the Prickly!

I promise I was planning on posting some lovely new photographs of another Chihuly piece.

On that day, the tourists, all of them except for one couple, Camodidi, and me, bumbled around the gift shop of the museum and completely ignored the art piece. I took some photos of which I was rather proud. (Imagine that. The Prickly Pineapple, proud?) The next day, the digital demons deleted the entire contents of my camera's memory card. I lost some irreplacable photos.

Oh well. What can I do, besides consider going back to using a camera with film in it?

In other news, on the same day I was introduced to Chihuly's Fern Green Tower I also became acquainted with the concept of the Klein bottle. The maths of it escapes my interest, but it's an interesting puzzlement in that its inside is also its outside. Think about that one. I couldn't find any excellent photos of it on the web, so here is a fair one.

And that is all.

If you go to Flickr and search on Chihuly, you can find some amazing pictures others have taken, and download some if you like.

The Prickly Pineapple's honorable guest seems not to share our valuation of the personal experience of photographing a subject.

We thank you for the suggestion in any case, understanding your good intention, and hope you have found enjoyment in seeing some pictures of Chihuly's works yourself.

Best wishes,

The Management
